I would like to thank you everybody at Look Mongolia Tours and Expeditions for making my Altai Argali hunt one of the most exciting and memorable events of my life. Traveling to remote parts of the world can be disastrous if any of the connections are not met. My trip went smooth and everything was kept on schedule.

Brown Bear
(Ursus Arctos)
Mongolian Brown Bear inhabits dense forests of Hentii and Huvsgul in northern and north eastern Mongolia. Brown bear’s prey animals are elk, moose, roe deer and musk deer and it also feeds in small rodents, fruit and plant seeds. Mongolians traditionally used its skin to make winter coats and its fat for medical purposes. Its body length ranges from 6.5 to 9 ft and an adult brown bear weighs up to 1000 lb (400 kgs). Brown bear hibernates from November till early April.
Hunting season: September 1 – November 15

Grey Wolf
(Canis Lupus Lupus)
Grey wolf is the only mammal that is found in all different geological zones of Mongolia from Gobi desert to northern taiga forests and eastern plains to the high mountain ranges. Grey wolf usually hunts during evening darkness and nights and hides in rocks, dense forests or canyons during day time. Due to decrease in number of its main prey animals including deer, gazelles, argali and ibexes, there has been increased threat of wolves to domestic herds. In some areas wolf hunting is rewarded and it might cause a major danger in existence of this animal. sThe body length of an adult wolf is 3.5 – 4 ft (110-120 cms) and it weighs 60-75 lb (20-30 kgs).
Hunting season: All year around
